OMG Its My Review Post

Ha by the title you can guess this is well over due so apologies but I just haven't had the time to sit down and get this post done. I get lots of offers to try things out but not everything fits in with my blog, the following items are things I thought would be good to try out and you may well be interested in. Although these were gifted to me the thoughts and words are all my own and I will give my honest opinion be that good or bad.

The first two products are for those of you that like a detox which to be fair at the beginning of the year I was more then willing to try!

First Cleanse

First Cleanse is a product made by Renew Life its a 14 day detox programme that has you taking 2 capsules in the evening and in the morning as well as some fibre capsules, if needed, during the day. This was taken from the website:

"First Cleanse is a 14 day, all natural herbal cleanse formulated specifically for the ‘first time’ or ‘sensitive’ cleanser. It is designed to gently stimulate the cleansing and detoxification process of the body’s 7 channels of elimination: the liver, lungs, colon, kidneys, blood, skin, and lymphatic system.

First Cleanse is strong enough to be effective, yet gentle enough that it will not cause ‘cleansing reactions’ which may occur when performing a more advanced cleanse. Cleansing reactions include mild headaches, nausea, and flu like symptoms that occur if you detoxify too quickly. First Cleanse has a very gentle action on the colon. It does not contain laxative herbs such as casgara sagrada or senna."

To put it plainly this programme will help you to go to the loo and get all that crap out of your body...literally! I did the 14 days and yes it helped me go to the loo but I can't say it made me feel any different or lighter. I think it would be a great idea for anyone having troubles in the loo department to get the digestive track clear which sometimes helps.

Slimming Solutions Teatox

Another popular way of detoxing is drinking teas and as I am a fan of herbal teas anyway this for me is an enjoyable way of detoxing. Slimming Solutions Teatox asks you to drink a tea in the morning and evening that is designed to help your body to get rid of unwanted toxins in the system.

The morning tea is drunk 30 minutes before any food and the evening tea is drunk before bed. I really like the taste of both teas and would definitely recommend these to anyone that needs help with things "moving" if you catch my drift! I again did not really feel any different after the teas but I definitely had no problem going to loo, ha!

Lets move on from detoxing and talk eating shall we : )

The kind peeps over at go nutrition sent me some coconut products which obviously went down well with me, I am a fan of coconut every which way so was more then happy to try out their Cocopure coconut water powder and Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

GoNutrition Cocopure is powered coconut water which you add to water to make a natural isotonic drink perfect before, during or after exercise. Coconut water can be pretty expensive and this 250g bag makes 35 drinks which is a cheaper way of getting your coconut water fix. I really like the taste and have been enjoying making up a quick drink after a tough workout.

GoNutrition Organic Coconut Oil is as good as the other coconut oils I've tasted I use it for all my cooking and don't have a bad word to say about it. Most of you like me use coconut oil on a daily basis so I can recommend trying this one out if you like to try other brands, I've tried it in cookies and frying up eggs/veggies and it tastes fab.

The site offers all sorts of products to help with your fitness training at competitive prices so definitely worth a look.

Fruit Heroes

Last but not least is some yummy snack bars called Fruit Heroes. These fruity bars originate in Denmark and have recently hit the shelves here, they are a great alternative for processed bars especially for little ones. These bars are made from natural ingredients including dates, fruit purees and sunflower oil.

I tired these before I had to go sugar free and thought they were rather nice, my favourite bar was the blackcurrant flavour, they are different to other bars I have tried plus they are a great option if you can't eat nuts or gluten as so many snack bars contain them these days.

Well there we have it finally I have posted these reviews, I have been meaning to get them up for bloody ages. Hopefully you can see something here of interest that you might like to try yourself.

Have you tried any of the above?

  1. I have the exact same coconut oil and really enjoying using it. It tastes great like all of the other brands that I've tried. Lovely to see a post from you! :-)

    1. Thanks Jemma, they are few and far between these days!! X

  2. Cool list of products. I'm intrigued by the Cocopure water - sounds like a more cost-effective way of getting coconut water.

    1. Yep I agree especially as the bottles are so expensive! Glad you liked the read x

  3. The powdered coconut water sounds like a good idea as it is so expensive.

    1. Definitely worth a try if your a coconut water lover x
