A Day In The Life - Monday

Hello, I have a day in the life post all about how I get through one of my two fast days I do each week. Back in September I wrote a post all about me doing the 5:2 diet which you can read here. I have been doing the 5:2 since February so now my fast days are pretty easy to do not always but most of the time. This week I fasted Monday and I will be doing today and this post is about Mondays...

8.30am - Alarm goes off and I am feeling good after a great nights sleep, it helps I got to sleep in a little this morning! I get up, dressed and sort my face : )

8.45am - Make a hot water with lemon and catch up on my social media sites.

9am - Make a almond milk latte with 1 teaspoon of coconut sugar - 43 calories

9.45am - Time to drive to my sports massage appointment. I am glad to report my back is pretty much sorted but I will continue to have my sports massages every six weeks. 

10.45am - Get home crack open a 2 litre bottle of water, guzzle a quarter of it then get my front room ready for my first client. 

11.15am - First client arrives 

12.15pm - Client leaves, I drink more water then talk to Dale on the phone for half hour. He always calls me on his lunch break : )

1pm - I do a workout with my Skype client, just 30 minutes which is enough for me when fasting!

1.30pm Get freshened up, drink a peppermint tea

2pm - Boil two medium eggs and eat with a little salt - 130 calories 

2.30pm - Look through emails briefly as I need to get ready for my next client 

3pm - Train my next client

4pm - Go back to my emails and start replying etc and drink a peppermint tea

6pm - Start to get dinner prepared for when Dale gets home.

6.30pm Cook our dinner

7pm - Eat! I had baked lemon and garlic salmon with veggies - 360 calories

7.30pm - 9.30pm - Chill on the sofa with Dale watching TV

10pm - Bed : )

Total Daily Calories - 513

Just slightly over on my calories on Monday but still a good fast in my book! I always do a Monday because it starts off the week well and its a day I am usually not too crazy busy. I drink at least 2 litres of water which fills me up and keep myself doing something all day. Sometimes I just have a coffee in the morning then water up until dinner it really depends on the day and how I am feeling.

  1. Oh. My. God. I just would crumble. I couldn't do it. I'd be horrible to be around. Literally a monster. It's amazing you're able to do this - and so consistently from such a while ago! I'm glad it's working for you but I just couldn't do it. I think I'd go mad... ;-)

    1. Ha I did at first but after a couple of months it gets easier! I actually quite enjoy my fasts these days reminds me I do have some will power when it comes to food ha x

  2. I am always really interested to see what people eat on fast days. It's surprising how much you can eat for so little calories when you get inventive!

    1. It is! If your careful you can actually eat quite a lot x
