Glastonbury 2014 and Getting Back to Normal

Hello! Don't worry I am still alive and made it out of the mud ok!! Yes if you got to see any of Glastonbury festival on the TV or listen to the News you will know we had a rather muddy one but that didn't stop us having an awesome time!

When we left on our road trip the sun was blazing and the weather was glorious but by the time we arrived in Glastonbury the rain had started and the ground was muddy! We had a little bit of a nightmare finding the festival (not sign posted well at all!) and then once parked realising we had an hours walk to our campsite but once we were there and sorted the fun began and continued for all four days : )

We had the best time watching bands, dancing in the mud and just generally having a good old knees up. We must have walked for bloody miles everyday so I got plenty of exercise plus the mud made walking all that more difficult, great for the legs!

Dale was the perfect festival buddy and when the sun came out on Sunday it was the perfect end to the festival that and Dolly Parton which was my highlight, I love her!

We got back in the early hours of Sunday morning and took Monday, Tuesday and most of Wednesday off to recover and get things back to normal round here which they pretty much are now. I am still feeling super tired but I'm off out for a run in a bit with a client so that should sort me out plus I am choker block with work until Sunday so no time to feel tired anymore!

Since getting back I have been enjoying my food thats for sure, the food at Glastonbury is crap for me due to not being able to eat gluten so I have been making up for it since being back, ha

Eggs and mushrooms on gluten free toast, so simple but so tasty

More toast with peanut butter and plain butter, Mmmmmmmm

And lots of smoothies to make myself feel human again after too much booze!

I do love going to Glastonbury if I can get a ticket, its my one place to let lose and really have a crazy time but you definitely need some time to rejuvenate afterward. I'll be feeling fighting fit and ready for July come Monday!

You can expect things to get back to normal round here too, I have lots of yummy meals planned over the next few days to share with you and I can't wait to catch up with all your blogs, I hope you all had a fab weekend whatever you have been up to and I'll look forward to reading all about it x

Question:

Have you ever been to Glastonbury?

  5. Glad you had a good time! When I was younger I went to lots of festivals- T in the Park, V and Reading but the Glasto bands never appealed to me that much- plus it is not in the school holidays.
