Cake and Coffee Blogger Date

Hello, how are we? I am all good even if it is grey and drizzly outside! Luckily yesterday the sun was shining for my little trip over to Brighton.

I had a client first thing, had some perfectly cooked eggs and mushrooms for breakfast then got ready to get the train to my old stomping ground!

And this why I was going to Brighton, to meet my blogger bestie Laura! If you read Laura's blog you will know she usually takes a visit to Brighton each year and if possible we try to meet up each time to chat blogs and general life. Gotta say I wish she lived closer I think we would hang out quite a bit!

For our meet up I suggested coffee and cake....well why not?! We decided to go to Infinity's cafe as I knew there would be gluten free options which is handy! I got a soy latte and a slice of lime, coconut polenta cake.

Urrrr hello flavour bomb! I am quite fussy when it comes to lemon/lime cakes as I like them to be really zesty and sometimes people can be too shy with the citrus fruits but this bad boy was zest zest ZESTY! So good I will definitely order this again but enough about cake it was really all about hanging with Laura and what a joy it was! We had lots to catch up on especially as she's having a bubba, so happy for you Laura : )

After our blogger meet up I popped into Infinity Foods to have a browse, can't go to Brighton and not it would be a sin! I bought a few bits including these cuties! I just couldn't resist these coconut milk cartons they sound fab so I shall let you know what they are like. I made my way to the station after having a window shop as I went then back to Hastings.

The cake I had was so filling I wasn't hungry till around 3.30ish so just made a little bowl of tuna dressed with a little olive oil and vinegar plus cucumber slices and 1/2 and avocado, perfect tummy filler. I then had some more clients to train into the early evening.

Work day complete it was time to freshen up and get dinner on. I made a yummy vegan dish of veggies cooked in Zest pesto and gluten free spaghetti (more on this soon) just what I needed, my last client I worked out with via Skype so was more then ready for a filling dinner!

My Wednesday was fab and today has been the same I have had an interesting work offer which I need to investigate more before committing to but it looks like I may have a new part time job.....excited!

Question:

Have you been on any blogger meet ups lately?

  3. Ahh that's lovely that you and Laura had a great time! And coffee and cake is such a great way to catch up. The cake you chose sounds gorgeous.
I must say though, orange chocolate milk?! That sounds vile to me! But the other flavours sound good. I think maybe it's because I don't like choc orange anyway...
