July Reviews!!

Hey you guys, so its that time of the month when I share my monthly review post. Once again a massive thank you to all those companies that have sent me things to review its always a pleasure to get to know and try new products. I say this every time but the following views are my honest opinion of what I thought of each product I was not commissioned to say they are good or anything like that! Right lets see what I have been trying out shall we..........

Frank bars are gluten free, low in fat and calories as well as being high fibre and made with naturally occurring unrefined sugars. A lot of "health bars" you can buy are deceiving as they aren't really that healthy and are quite high in sugar and thats why I loved these bars because they are exactly what they say they are a healthy snack! Plus they taste delicious : )

I enjoyed my Frank Bars for breakfast with a juice and for snacks, they definitely taste like a treat even though they are healthy. I love the chocolate topping and the bars consistency. I will definitely be purchasing some of these to keep in the cupboard for snack attack times! Frank bars come in orange and chocolate, double chocolate, blueberry and chocolate, strawberry and chocolate and oat and chocolate. I think my favourite would have to be the double chocolate but they are all very tasty. If you like a healthy snack you have to give these a try!

I am not a huge crisp eater as we all know they are not the healthiest of snacks but on occasion I love a good dig in especially if we're talking hand cooked, and Dale loves them so I thought this would be fun for me and Dale. Tyrrells English crisps are as I said hand cooked with the jackets on (extra fibre!) and come in some very tasty flavours. I was sent some gluten free varieties including sea salt and cider vinegar, beach barbecue, sweet chill and red pepper and mature cheddar and chive.

The sweet chill and red pepper were great eaten with a little hummus dippage whilst watching a movie, these have a great taste and were enjoyed by both of us. Dale took the cheddar and chive ones fishing and LOVED them! The barbecue and sea salt with cider vinegar were enjoyed whilst watching more movies and again we loved both flavours. My favourite flavour was the sea salt and cider vinegar really yummy but all were good. These crisps are definitely a product I would buy for social occasions or if we fancied a treat for movie watching! I'm lots of enjoy crisps some of the time so I would say if you haven't tried these before you must!

Next up are a new to me snack, I had heard about Garbanzo snacks through a friend but had never actually tasted them so when I was contacted to give them a try I was quite excited. Garbanzo's are a simple healthy snack made from chickpeas, flavoured with natural products and at only 88 calories a pack they're pretty awesome! I usually try to stay clear of any dried pulses because they can have a weird affect on my tummy but I am happy to report these went down a treat.

You have a flavour option of Bombay Firecracker, Thai Sweet Chili and Tomato, Garlic and Herb. I think for me the Bombay Firecracker won the flavour but all were enjoyable to eat and really filling. These are a great snack to keep in your bag for those times of the day you just need something. I love these and will definitely be buying more, if you like chickpeas gives these a try! Plus if you go to the website and order use the code GARB/02 and get 2 free bags with every order!!!!!

The bowl........

I have reviewed some other Oxo products in the past and love them so when offered to try more I jumped at the chance. I love the way their products look really expensive but actually they are quite affordable. I tried out the stainless steal mixing bowl that has a rubber bottom so it sticks to the side board and prevents you slipping and spilling the contents, great idea!

First thing I made in my new bowl was some savoury rice which quite often has turmeric so thankfully this bowl is stainless steal so it doesn't stain or retain odours perfect! I can't big this bowl up enough and at only £14 its a real bargain. If you need a new mixing bowl look no further this is the one!

The scoop........

Oxo also sent me an ice cream scoop to try, which meant I had to make ice cream obviously! The particular scoop I was sent was the Beak scoop especially good for breaking into hard ice cream, perfect if you make your own dairy free stuff like me : )

The scoop is aluminium with a soft grip handle, it has a non-stick coating and forms the perfect balls of ice cream which you can tip out with the eject lever. I love this scoop, I recently made this mango and mint iced desert for my rice dream post you can get the recipe here, and being dairy free once put back in the freezer it gets pretty hard, the scoop did exactly what it promises again another product you can't go wrong with. Oxo is one of my top favourite sites for kitchen equipment and if you don't know the brand yet check it out!

Super Eleven Shake

Recently this sample pack of Super Eleven Shake arrived at the door and I got the pleasure of trying it yesterday, and I do mean pleasure! This shake is a pure probiotic blend of eleven plant based super foods including: Raw Cocoa, Acai berry, Banana,  Goji berry, Maca Root, Hulled Hemp, Spirulina, Green Tea, Chia, Flaxseed and Camu Camu! The only other ingredients are Non GMO Organic Brown Rice, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Yerba Mate, Non GMO Lecithin, Guar Gum & Stevia Extract. No hidden nasties in this shake as you can see but a whole lots of goodness!

All the fabulous ingredients aside what does it taste like I hear you say......GOOD in fact more than good it tastes pretty damn fine! As you all know I love a good smoothie and any sort or blend/shake/protein that claims to be good for your health so this was a pleasure to try out. I can only say good things, love the ingredients, love the taste and it kept me full till lunch an all round winner. If like me your a smoothie/shake lover get on the Super Eleven bandwagon and get yourself a bag you wont regret it!

Shock Absorber Active Zipped Plunge

I have tried out a shock absorber sports bra previously and you can read my thoughts on that particular one here. This new one is different due to the zip up front, great for speed and it looks pretty cool too!

The active zipped plunge has a zip up front but also has safety hooks on the inside to prevent any undesired bust flashing and keep piece of mind when working out! The bra is made from breathable fabrics perfect for those who love a sweaty workout, like me: )

Well I'm totally sold, I love the plunge line of this bra and also the colours it makes working out rather stylish and I find the shock absorber bras really comfortable with is a big thing for me as I workout a lot! I find this bra secure and supportive enough for doing a strength workout and cardio in small intervals but for running I would always where another crop top style top over purely because god was very generous to me in the chest department! When you workout if you like funky sports wear then I would say this is a bra for you : )

Ateronon

Last but not least I want to tell you about a new supplement I was sent to try, I can't give you a full review as I believe it takes time for supplements to start having an affect on your body but I can tell you what its about and why you might like to give it a try..........

Ateronon is a Lycopene supplement so if you don't eat enough foods that include Lycopene you can get it from this supplement. Foods that contain it include tomatoes (especially when cooked), watermelon, pink/red grapefruits, persimmons, asparagus and chill powder as well as many more. The body can find Lycopene hard to digest but Ateronon helps your body to digest it more easily through the gut wall. There are said to be many health benefits to be gained by taking in more Lycopene which include positive affects on cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, prostate health and erectile disfunction. So if you tend to eat a diet that is high in process foods it might be worth thinking about taking this.

Wow that was a monster post! Hopefully you found this post helpful and if in doubt about any of the above you can now feel safe in the knowledge these are all pretty awesome things to have in your life!

Question:

Whats the best new to you product you have tried lately?

    1. Taken from the website: FRANK bars are a deliciously indulgent snack bar made with 100% natural ingredients such as wholegrain oats, dates & dried plums and topped with a delicious dairy free Coconut Cream chocolate. FRANK bars are gluten, nut, & dairy free and are a source of protein, with each bar containing almost 4g of protein per 35g bar. FRANK bars also contain ENERGYSMART®, which is a patented, all-natural combination of carbohydrates from select fruits (apple, grape & pear) plus specially developed natural dextrins from grain which together provide longer-lasting energy
