Moved in!

Hello, well its been a busy few days thats for sure moving is such a mission but amazing once your in! OH MY GOD the flat is soooooooo nice and so cosy, we still have lots to unpack and sort through but its just so fabulous having our own space. My new kitchen is great, loads of space for cooking/preparing and it has so many cupboards for all my cooking stuff which is very handy. The last place I had barely any space to put anything and now I have masses, joy!!

The move went smoothly thanks to Dale, I had to work Saturday morning and by the time I got home there was only one car load of boxes left to move other then the big furniture, which was going in a van. I picked up the last load and then my dad and went to our new flat to start putting bits of furniture together and unpack. As I said there is still stuff to unpack but hopefully that will get done tonight.

Anyway what have I been eating since moving and how have I been working up a sweat I hear you say well this what has been going on.........

Breakfast:

Making breakfast and eating it here at the new place has been such a joyous way to start the day, the first day I ate a bowl of coconut porridge, I ate this after my first run from the flat. Great run even better breakfast! I had some perfectly boiled eggs on Monday, I topped some rice cakes with the eggs, some dry fried mushrooms and there was a little ketchup action too. The past 2 days I have had some smoothie love for breakfast, yesterdays was raspberry and coconut and today's was mixed berry and carob both had lots of add ins : )

Lunches:

Lunches have not all been pictured as you can see but the couple that have were delicious. Sunday after my late bowl of porridge all I fancied was some fruit so that's what I had. Chopped fruit, coconut cream and a little Lizi's granola. Then yesterday I had a steamed sweet pot topped with tuna mayo plus mushrooms and cucumber on thew side.

Dinners:

Oh dinner has been a treat so far this week, Sunday night we had stir fried veggies and chickpeas topped with a little goats cheese. Monday I made socca wraps which we filled with feta and sweet chilli sauce and served it with curried veggies. Then last night I made some soup, I used cauliflower, swede and lentil and it turned out pretty damn good. A real hearty soup. I will be having some for lunch today and I can't wait : )

What have I been doing to work up a sweat?

Sunday I went for a run for the first time form the new place, it was great to have a new set of roads to run round but to get back home its all hills, total killer but great for the thighs and butt!
Monday I had a day of rest other then unpacking. Ahhhhhh Tuesday I reignited my love for spinning. My gym has a new early morning class which suits me, total sweat fest and I have to admit the
inside of my legs is still sore but man I love that class! I am hoping to go Tuesdays and Thursdays from now on, lastly today I went to the gym after my first client this morning. I did an all over body strength circuit followed by 20 minutes on the cross trainer. The strength workout took me about an hour so I had a fab start to the day.

I got to work early today so I could get this post up and I am hoping to get some more to you over the next few days, roll on the 19th March when I have my internet connected

Question:

Have you moved lately/or when you moved did you live with stuff in boxes for long?

I am hoping by next week the boxes and bags will be sorted!

When we moved in we had stuff in boxes and suitcase for ages- probably a month before it was all unpacked as we had to build all the furniture for it to go in (drawers, wardrobe etc).

  4. Yay! Glad you're all moved in okay :)

I think I've still got one or two boxes of stuff from when I moved to Cardiff - 2 years ago! Most of the stuff was sorted within a few weekends though.

  8. you're so creative with your food choices! a little less than two years ago i got married and moved in with my husband...and i still have goodies in boxes in the attic. i figure if i haven't missed it yet, i don't really need it! so, i've been sorting through it all and slowly getting rid of everything! feels good to cleanse...inside and out! :)
