Baking Mad: PB Squares Recipe

Hello Thursday readers!
I hope the week is going well for you all?
Mine has been all good, lots of great workouts and good food : )

A while ago now I was asked to have take a look at the Baking Mad site and see if there was anything I could recreate on here. I had a browse through their many many recipes of cakes and cupcakes and so much more but in the end I took inspiration from some chocolate crispy cakes but made the Tamzin way!

Peanut Butter Protein Squares

Ingredients:
4 cups brown rice puffs
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup agave syrup
1/3 cup soy protein (or any you have)
1/3 cup cocoa powder

Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix! Its that easy, once it is all combined put it in a parchment lined dish and compact the mixture together. Put it in a freezer for about 30 minutes then take out and slice into bars/squares

These are perfect for a quick snack before exercise, I cut them into squares which will be about 4 bites so they aren't going to ruin the diet either!

I needed something to have in the freezer which i could just grab so these are perfect : )

Once I cut them up I wrapped in tin foil then put them back in the freezer.

I will definitely be checking back onto the Baking Mad site to get more ideas there was some cakes on there I definitely need to try out!

Thursday

This morning I got up when Dale left for work to have an apple before hitting the gym. I did a 30 minute strength circuit followed by 45 minutes of intervals on the cross trainer.

When I got home I made a raspberry and manuka honey smoothie topped with some raw granola

I've been hanging out with my sister since, we had a delicious lunch and are now watching My so called life! Love it!

Question:

Have you ever used the baking mad site, what did you make?

I saw a polenta cake that looks delicious!

P.S Do you like my new header!? I love it thanks lovely sister!

  2. I love that site- and yes those squares look yummy. I had some UR nutrition soy crispy things and they would be great in that instead of the brown rice puffs too. Yum :)
