What A Great Day + MSM Info

What a great day!
Maybe because the sun came out to say hello or that I had the whole day to do what ever I fancied. Those days are always good especially when they are filled with yummy food and drinks!

This morning I had a delicious cherry and vanilla smoothie. This was made with 1 and a 1/2 scoops of vanilla sun warrior, 1/2 and avocado, lots of frozen cherries, tsp of baobab and MSM and the juice of 2 small carrots and a broccoli stump! Topped with the last of my almonds and seeds. This was so good and perfect Bikram fuel : )

I went to the 10am Bikram class and it was a steamer!
I sweated heaps and had a fab class!

For lunch I had the last of my brown rice mixed with egg, mushrooms and broccoli. I seasoned with salt pepper and a drizzle of udos oil

This was a lovely mix of flavors and super filling!

I made a coffee with almond milk this morning but didn't end up drinking it so not to waste it I created a yummy coffee shake! This included the cold coffee, 1 tsp of cocoa, vanilla sun warrior and manuka honey and lots of ice. I whizzed it all up and enjoyed, yum!

Late afternoon I went to the gym to get a strength/cardio session in. I did some upper body weights then 23 minutes of intervals on the treadmill.

Back home and showered I made a green juice from 2 small apples, cucumber, 2 carrots and a slice of lemon. I also added some MSM

So lets talk about this MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) shall we. I was advised by my yoga teacher when I was doing my 60 day challenge and my back was hurting to start using this product because it helps with flexibility and reduces stiffness from strenuous exercise. It is also known as the beauty mineral because it helps to give you strong nails, glowing skin and shiny hair! You can read all about this fabulous mineral and buy some here. I have only been adding it to my juices/smoothies for a couple of weeks but I have definitely noticed my muscles are not as sore as usual so hopefully I will be reaping all the benefits soon!

For dinner today I had more soup. I make a big batch and keep it in the fridge for a quick easy dinner. I plan to watch some more 24 this evening I am loving it!


Do you use any supplements like MSM to help with your recovery from exercise?


  1. cherry & vanilla were meant to be together but I never thought about combining them in a smoothie! Genius idea!!

  3. I used to take veggie glucosamine when I was running longer because it may help protect my joints and I didn't see the harm, but other than that all I take is a multivitamin.

  4. I didn't realise that MSM was also good for muscles but I did know how good it was for skin, I really need to get some more as I can tell that my skin has missed it since I ran out!

  5. I've never even heard of MSM and now I'm intrigued. It sounds like you had a fantastic day - I already can't wait for the weekend! Haha I just had a 4 day weekend and I'm already craving for days off. :)
