I Am Human And Definitely Not Perfect

Happy Friday!!!!!
Yay its the weekend and for once I have the both days off, well other than a couple of clients so a big thumbs up! First up I would like to say to my beautiful sister........
Happy Birthday Jes!!!!!!!

And secondly I would to share...........

Day 3. Hands

If you know Bikram then you know these hands! This is my third photo for the February challenge : )

Thirdly I would like to share something that is a little bit of a ramble..........

Disclaimer:
I have not ever suffered with an ED but I will be writing things that people with an ED could find triggering.

Ok after yesterdays post I received a comment asking me why I felt the need to do a juice detox as I eat a great diet without juicing. So I thought I would address this just in case there are other people out there wondering the same thing? I have decided to do a juice detox because I am feeling pretty groggy and wanted a good cleanse. I didn't want to do this during January, doing the Bikram challenge I don't think juice would have given me enough energy! I also want to do it to help me lose a few pounds which I am not going to feel bad about. I am actually about a stone over weight, you may or may not notice but I very rarely post full head to toe photos of myself this is because I am not happy with the fuller figure I have. In the last year I have been through some really crap stuff, I don't publicize it all on here as some things I feel you don't need to know about! Because of the stress I have been under it has lead me to comfort eat and put on weight, my clothes don't fit and I am unhappy so I am doing these diet and fitness challenges each month to get me to my happy weight and also to try out things some of you may be interested in. I don't ever write things on here intending to upset anyone I just write about what's happening with me this side of the screen, I hope this makes sense to you guys : )

Ok enough of that lets get to the food!

I started the day with a visit to the gym, yay that's twice this week already my Feb goal is coming along nicely! I did a 25 minute circuit followed by 15 minutes of intervals on the stair mill.

I got home, freshened up and got ready for work then made a fresh juice. I also had a bowl of cornflakes topped with coconut flour.

Hmmmm dare I say the shop was dead! Ha ha no change there then, at lunch I had to go get my back attacked. After a deep sports massage and being sworn off exercise for 2 days I went back to the shop. Hmmmmmm I know its for the best, after treatment the muscles need time to heal but jeez I feel bad not going to yoga! I am aware this is crazy as I have actually been 5x this week plus 2 visits to the gym which means I defo earned the weekend off but still I wanna go!!!!!!

Back to work and time to eat!

2 boiled eggs, quinoa with basil pesto, broccoli and celery, twas lovely : )

That's all from me today. I am sorry for the pouring of my feelings in this post but sometimes you just gotta say how it is. It isn't always what people wanna hear but hey I am human and definitely not perfect.

Till tomorrow x x x

  2. I can understand why you felt like you needed to say something, I've been called out on the whole 'detox' thing too. I love detoxes and they have nowt to do with loosing weight and everything to do with just making me feel better so I completely understand where your coming from. I have to say whether your over weight or not your bloody gorgeous ;-)

But I just like detoxes for making me feel a whole lot better and more balanced. I have to say though whether your over weight or not you look bloody gorgeous ;-) hope the juicing is going well so far!

  4. I echo what Laura says with a huge YEAH....you are an absolute inspiration I stumbled on your blog a few weeks ago and have been hooked ever since! I too have had a rocky(to say the least)couple of years and have managed to completely lose myself gaining 2 stone along with any kind of fitness level and to be honest my confidence is at its lowest! Reading your blog has recently inspired me to address all three its gonna be a long emotional road but I've started so thankyou, don't change a thing "salad and sequins" is funny, inspiring, informative but most of all REAL. I look forward to reading future posts and will no doubt be inspired all over again!

  7. It's your blog so at the end of that day, say how you feel I think :)
I don't think I would ever do a juice detox and things, mainly because I don't think they would give me enough energy / protein. But I would not be telling other people what to do. You might be interested in a film "Fat, Sick and nearly Dead"- about a guy who did a juice fast thing. It was really interesting.
