Christmas In Ireland

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm back after a lovely time away in Ireland where I was visiting my mama and little sister for a early Christmas celebration : )

I had a fabulous time, walking dogs, laughing so much my tummy hurt, eating delicious food and just generally having a wonderful time! I was away for 6 days so you can imagine how many photos were taken, get comfy cause there's loads!

Wednesday/Thursday

We arrived late Wednesday night and got straight in bed to wake up fresh and ready for Thursday.

Thursday morning I had a big bowl of muesli with rice milk and banana

My mums dogs were bothering me for a walk, Jake is 94 in dog years!!!!!

Before heading to Killkenny for a day of shopping I took Jake and Tilly for a walk

We wondered round the shops then stopped for coffee in a chocolate shop/coffee shop. It was lovely and very festive inside : )

We had a light dinner of salmon and veggies

Friday

The day was started with some toasted rye bread topped with PB and an apple on the side.

We spent the morning hanging in the house

Chatting and drinking coffee

Then I got the walking boots on for dog walk no.2

Me and my mama went to a beautiful wood to walk the dogs

When we got back i had a giant slice of lemon, lime and polenta cake my mama made, it was soooooooooo good : )

The rest of the day we spent inside, veggie soup for dinner and a warm log fire keeping us toasty

Saturday

In the morning we went to a coffee shop called the truffle fairy. They give you a free chocolate with every drink, I had a black coffee with a dark, hazelnut and mint chocolate which was delicious!

After coffee we headed to a Christmas fair in a near by hotel.

We looked round all the stalls then before heading home we bought some gingerbread men for after lunch : )

Around 4ish I joined my mama for another dog walk

It was freezing but the surroundings were beautiful : )

I was looking forward to getting back to the log burner and soup my sisters were making......

Sunday

Sunday was Christmas day in Ireland and we had a lovely relaxed morning

Me and my 2 sisters took the dogs for a walk late morning while mama cooked the Christmas dinner

Dogs warn out we got back in the car and headed home.

We spent the afternoon reading Brambly Hedge books to each other whilst waiting for dinner. This bought back childhood memories, I love those books!

Dinner was yummy as always my mums cooking is super good!

After dinner we got comfy for the X Factor final (YAY to little mix!)

I had some Christmas cake for pud, soooooo good!

Monday

For breakfast I had fish and duck eggs

Wellies on we went for our last dog walk : (

Awwwwwww I'll miss this little lady!

And this old boy!

After our walk we packed up and left for the air port.

The flight home was horrendous! Turbulence most of the way, I actually thought we were not gonna make it home, so SO SCARY!!!!!!

But we did thank god and I had a hot guy waiting for me : )

So that's my Ireland recap hope your still awake!
I have lots of reviews and a giveaway coming up in the next few days so keep an eye on the blog!

Right for now that's me I gotta get ready for my Bikram class, hope you are all well and enjoying the festive season so far x x

  4. What beautiful photos - you've even managed to make winter look pretty.

I didn't think anyone else remembered Brambl(E?)y Hedge books! I used to read them so often when I was little. The illustrations were adorable.

Mmm, the xmas cake looks very tasty :)

    Lovely to 'see' you back!
