Ireland Recap

Hello Everybody!!!!!!!!
I am back and settled into my daily routines after a fabulous break in Ireland : )
I had a wonderful time with my mum and little sister. We laughed for 5 days straight and had lots of fun, we also ate A LOT of yummy foods. Hopefully you have some time to relax sit back and enjoy this monster post! Without further a do lets get on with the recap!

I got up early Thursday morning to get one last Bikram class in before heading off to Ireland. I packed Wednesday night so had the morning free to workout and get ready for my trip. After a quick train journey I arrived at Gatwick with plenty of time to grab lunch:

I had a falafel wrap from M&S and a packet of paprika flavored crisps (the holiday mind had started already!)

After a bumpy flight I arrived safe ad sound in Dublin where my little sis picked me up and we drove home to my mamas beautiful home : )

Dinner was ready for us when we got there, good mama! We ate shepherds pie with steamed veg and I followed this with 2 dark chocolate rice cakes and some fresh strawberries. YUM!

After a leisurely wake up we got ready to go to town, I had cornflakes for breakfast!

The morning was spent going round shops and we also stopped in a cute little cafe for refreshments, I had a smoothie made from fresh berries and mint it was delish.

We came home for lunch. I had a giant salad and a coconut snowball! I used to eat these when I was little bad but so good!

I picked up some yummy goodies whilst in town. Red Mill gluten free oats, sunflower seeds mixed with chocolate covered seeds and some milled linseeds and berries.

In the afternoon we hung out with the dogs and watched a movie.

Awwwwww Jake is 93yrs old!

Me and Leah x x

We all got up and ready to go to a farmers market in the morning. I had fruit and yogurt for breakfast.

The market was good. I picked up a favorite veggie, kohlrabi. I had a yummy salad for lunch, once it had settled I trained me and my sister. Hmmmm she was pretty done in after!

For dinner I had quinoa with steamed veggies and artichokes. This was eaten early as me and Leah hit the town of Kilkenny Saturday night!

Shots were on the menu : )

We danced, we laughed we went home!

After devouring a delicious home cooked breakfast made by my lovely mama we went to the Nicholas Mosse pottery centre

I like to go whenever I am at my mums, the pottery is lovely and the shop has lots of little trinkets

Its in a lovely building by the river

We stopped for a drink before heading home, I had an apple juice

Pretty river shot

We had a chicken roast for dinner which was soooooo good, my mum makes the best food!

In the morning I got up early with Leah to walk the dogs. We then went with my mum to water aerobics, it was fun but a little slow for me : )

We went to another little town then home to chill

I had veggies n quinoa and my mum made a lemon polenta and almond cake which slipped down way to easy!

Whilst watching the movie this little fella flew into my mums window and bumped his head!

I rescued him and stroked him better, how cute!?

I had such a lovely time, but I must admit I was craving a bikram class! So when Tuesday came and I finally got home I literally dumped my stuff threw on my yoga clothes and got to class! I also went yesterday and today, I love it! I feel pretty heavy after all the rich foods and not much exercise but I'm sure I'll feel back to normal in a few days. I am one of those people that likes routine so I am enjoying getting back to mine : )

I hope you have enjoyed this catch up, if you've not fallen a sleep yet!

What have you been up to?

Do you like routine and feel odd after being on holiday and breaking yours?

I like to have my exercise and food organized, control freak? Maybe!

  1. Glad you had a lovely time- it looks so pretty there.
I like to have a routine normally, but I also think that a holiday is good as it makes me look forward to my routine even more- after a while I get tired of doing the same things, but then after a break on holiday I come back with renewed enthusiasm.

  2. Looks like you had a great time! That little bird is adorable as well. It took me a while to get back into the swing of things after Brighton, I just wished I was still on holiday. Having two late night meetings this week hasn't helped either!

  3. Oh my cute is that little birdy!! x

  4. I'm glad you had a lovely time away, that poor little birdy! I can't believe he sat in your hand, bless. It always takes me a while after holiday to get back in to routine, I want it to last as long as possible.

  5. Welcome back! Sounds like a lovely holiday. I love Ireland. I like my own little routines and do miss them when I'm on holidays x
