My First Krispy Kreme

Hello!!!!! Happy Sunday : )
Just think this time next week the big day will all be over and done with and we will be nursing our bloated Christmas tummy's! Have you all got your festive plans and presents sorted? Mine are as long as the snow doesn't ruin it! So fingers crossed people, fingers crossed!

I had a client at 9.45am today and was keen to get a workout in myself first which meant getting to the gym for 8am. This also meant I had to get to the main road (about 40 min walk) to get the bus so I threw on my rubber ice grips and ran all the way. My icy run took me 35 minutes to get to the main road and was a fab start to the day.

The gym had literally just opened and was empty which I kinda liked!

5 minute stair climb
40 minutes PHA training - set one - 12.5kg - set two + three - 15kg
3 minute stair climb between sets
10 minutes stair climb
TRX - plank 1 min - side planks 30 seconds

I made some over night protein oats which look pretty grose but I assure you they tasted fab!
Some of this actually leaked into my bag while I was running this morning and looked really bad, babies nappies come to mind!!!!!!! Ha ha sorry : )

Trained my client, then made my way to the furniture store for my last shift before Christmas. Again it was very quite so we cleaned hoovered and generally tidied. Then I was given gifts from my new work colleagues which was a total surprise! I feel so spoilt!

I just had to show you this, my new Hello Kitty mug!

They all ready know me too well!

For lunch I ate tuna mixed with veggies and a spoon of mayo/yogurt and curry powder.

The afternoon was deadly quite too, then at 3pm the office manager rang through to tell us we could leave at 3pm before the snow got any worse which was very kind!

Leila the other new girl was out on lunch and bought these back!

There are 4 of us and she bought 12 donuts!!!!!!!????????
I have never eaten a krispy kreme donut and felt this was as good a time as any!

I had a chocolate glazed ring donut, it was yummy but not the best donut I've ever eaten!

We also had a glass of cava for a little festive cheer.

  1. Donut number 2!!!!!!!! Yes guys I did it, the glittery coconut donut was eaten by me. Again it was good but very sickly, everyone has always gone on about how AMAZING krispy kremes are but after my tasting I can definitely live without them in my life : )
The buses were running along the main road so that left the 40 minute walk back to my house which I was glad for after those donuts!

Thought you might like to see my life savor pull on rubber snow/ice spikes, so handy!

I got my post in early today because I'm planning on chilling this evening with nothing but movies, some veggies for dinner and probably more chocolate! Yes its one of those days!

Question:

Are you a Krispy Kreme lover? Whats your favorite one?

  1. I've had a Krispy Kreme maybe 2 or 3 times in my life...I'm not quite so sure what all the fuss is about, they're nice-ish but very sugary! I prefer cookies if I'm going to indulge in something sugar-rush inducing :)

Love that picture of your empty gym, I always go to the gym super-early as I hate it when it's busy (and I always feel a little proud of myself for being the first one there!)

  2. I do like a krispy kreme every now and then - I love the filled seasonal ones, they normally do some nice zesty ones for summer. I had key lime pie flavour last year and it was lovely :)

  3. Hope you have a nice relaxed evening. I'm not a huge donut fan so have never indulged in krispy cremes! I also like it first thing in the morning when the gyms quiet and you can have your pick of equipment plus lots of space to work out in :-)

  5. They are better fresh and warm from the shop and then only the plain glazed ones. I loved Dunkin' Donuts when I was in America. They do some yummy donuts!

  6. I like them but avoid them ! Eggnog lattes from Starbucks are the seasonal downfall at the moment so good they have run out nationwide !! Can I ask where you got your spikes from

  7. I'm with Lobster .... chocolate glazed with custard inside!!! I have to face them every time I go into Tesco and pass the display - its getting WAY easier to resist as I now know they are the perfect sugar/fat/salt combo that melt in your mouth and make you want more and never really fills you up. I can live without the instant taste bud satisfaction now.

  10. I've never had Krispy Kreme before either!! We've got this place called Tim Hortons in Canada that specializes in donuts. Now THOSE I love, but maybe that' just cause I grew up eating them :)

So nice to see your gym!
