Loving Bikram

Hello Tuesday readers how are we today?
I'm having one of those days when things feel a little 'huh', I just think its the gym stuff. Its just so hard to pick up clients when your not really confident. I have clients don't get me wrong, and the ones I have are great. I get on with them all so well which is so good but I need more and I'm finding it tough but I guess I just gotta try and keep my chin up and get some more confidence!

Anyways enough about that, I was glad to read that I'm not the only silly billy out there, after I got stuck in the porch!

This morning I had a late start so I finally decided to try my starbucks coffee sample.
Hmmm I have to admit I wasn't impressed maybe the other flavor is better? I found this a little bitter and nothing like the delicious coffee they sell in the shop.

I teamed my coffee with a bowl of plain oats topped with a banana, seeds and some cinnamon.

Delicious : )

This is the view from my living room window, nice ay?!

After breakfast I got ready and made my way to town, dropped my things at the gym then made my way to yoga. I know i mentioned I was going to yoga but didn't explain completely. I got a free session card to go and see if I liked it, which I did, I then bought the beginners offer which was £20 for 2 weeks and you go as much as you like. I'm getting my moneys worth and trying to go every week day this week and then at least 4 next week. I'm then hoping to continue with 1 session a week. I'm loving it but after this 2 weeks the cost to go is very expensive and at the mo I can't afford to do any more than once a week but the teacher says you still get the benefits its just a slower process which is fine by me : )

90 minutes Bikram Yoga

Before yoga I ate an apple and some almonds.

After getting showered I was more than ready for lunch!
Raw veggies, hummus and oat cakes.

Trained a client, ate 2 clementines, then felt deflated so came home.

I ate a new to me food for dinner. A quorn peppered steak with steamed veggies and smash!
Yes I eat smash. I put my hands up I love smash! I don't eat it often but I do eat it : )

The steak was ok, not amazing but quite tasty enough. The smash was delicious!

I need to make some flyers for work so better get on. Can't believe its Wednesday tomorrow already!

Question:

Do you eat meat substitutes?

I have eaten tofu for years and soy chunks have been known to turn up in the cupboard but thew quorn is new to me. I'm liking it : )

  4. Hey!

I am a regular reader of your blog and your new view looks amazing. Wish I looked out onto that! I just wondered if I could ask you a bit more about bikram? I've been wanting to do it for a while but have been put off because it's 90 mins long which is a fair while and I am scared it will be too hot plus I am also concerned it may not feel like a workout? I am a fan of spin when it comes to the gym basically! Also could you advise on exercises to work the bum?! If I lived in Brighton I would ask you to be my personal trainer! Don't get down about not having enough clients...it will take some time so just enjoy the great lifestyle change you have for now! Lx

  5. I'm a huge tofu fan. I have tried quorn too, but I don't like the texture so much. I bought some tempeh the other day that I am dying to try.

  7. I don't eat meat substitutes very often just because I try and eat a very unprocessed diet (plus, beans are cheaper) but I love them! Especially anything BBQ.

  8. I quite like the italian roast VIA - handy for when I'm in a rush on a morning - and I have that same mug that I bought in Brighton! :-) I used to eat quorn all the time, even before I was a veggie but I don't eat it that often now. The best thing about it for me is that my hubby will eat it - even his mates will sit and eat the southern fried chicken burgers and not realise its not chicken! I do love the quorn mince as its just so versatile x

  10. Stunning view!

I have started eating quorn again recently which I like, and would love to get into tofu. Unfortunately, I've only cooked and ate it once and it was horrible so I've been a bit put off by it! :(
