A Trip to the Country

Hello bloggies! How's ya Thursday been? I've had another fabulous day : ) and have lots of photos to prove it! Yep guys this is another photo heavy post hope that's cool with you!?

It all started with a mocha smoothie with a side of egg blob!

Egg cooked in the microwave = an egg blob!

This smoothie was insanely good!

A while later I went for my woman's only boxing class......

This is where I get my sweat on......

British World Champion = my teacher

lots of bags for punching.......

lots of trophy's, well he is the best!

got home and had a small snack to tied me over till lunch.......

I freshened up then went to pick up Wayne for another day of fun.........

Wayne had read up about a man called John Fuller, read about him here, and wanted to see some of his work so we decided to picnic near his Rotunda Temple.

a perfect bench for our feast...........

it was a massive bench!
(its actually a horse jump!)

Wayne really went to town with the picnic!

I made up a salad of leaves, cherry toms, cucumber, beets, radishes, smoked mackerel and a dollop of lemon and coriander hummus (low fat!) I did have a second helping of leaves, beets and toms if I'm honest : )

followed by fruit salad, I ate the strawberries and pineapple but the apple was kinda spongy so it had to go!

the sun was shining and it was so still and calm in the country, perfect setting for a picnic : )

after lunch we went to find John Fullers grave............

he is buried in a temple in the church graveyard..........

old church!

I found his cushion

no explanation needed! ha ha love him!

the seat cushions were all different.........

angel..........

I loved the stained glass........

Wayne bought me a small book on John Fuller so I could read up on him.......

we drove back through a little town called Battle and everywhere was these weird stuffed people, and I mean EVERYWHERE! It was really odd.........

Dinner was more fish, tuna this time mixed with steamed veggies. I used more of my aubergine pesto for the sauce but added some natural yogurt

this tasted fab, good food for sure!

followed by a carob iced pudding

Today has been lots of fun and I have more fun to come tomorrow. I'm planning a trip to the gym in the morning then I'm meeting my friend and her new born little girl for a catch up. Then a power walk with another friend in the early evening! Busy busy busy : )
I have lots more plans for the weekend too but that's another post.......

Speak soon lovelies x x

Question:

Do you like to get away to the country for picnics?

I for get how lucky I am sometimes, the country side is less then 20 minutes away depending how far you want to travel, I love being in the greenness of the country side : )

  1. Awww I love the countryside! However I never go there for picnics. I like having picnics at Bern though because there's lots of nature too.

  2. Amazing picnic yum yum! I wish my bf would take me out like this! I know this is a bit of a wierd question but where there any guards around the rotunda and grave? I'd love to use it as a location for a shoot so just want to check first!
