Beach Walking on a Sunny Easter Sunday

Hello, its a 2 post day again sweet readers. The sun was shining this morning so I took advantage and went out for a run round the park.

5 minute walk to warm up
4o minute run
10 minute cool down

My back n hip felt a little sore but the joy of running took the pain away! When I got home we put our lunch on but I needed something to keep me going so I snacked on the last slice of my linseed and corn bread

Wow me and Maggie had a delicious lunch! Boiled ham with potato salad, cucumber and rocket.

The potato salad I made was the star of the show!

Tamzin's Potato Salad

Boiled potatoes
2 Tbsp soya yogurt
1 Tbsp mayo
1 tsp whole grain mustard
1 small red onion diced
15 black olives sliced

I'm so glad I saved a little bit for tomorrows lunch : )

After our yummy lunch we went out for a long walk along the beach

Sea cabbage

I love the colour of the sea cabbage!

These boots were made for walking.........

Sea sponge

We walked for ages........

This is an old lifeboat house with a sad story......

A stormy night back in 1928 the life boat crew went out on a rescue but the boat they were going to help had already been saved........

with out radio communication there was no way of letting the crew know, the boat didn't survive the storm and all the crew were killed : (

After the tragedy the lifeboat house was not used again........a sad story huh?

We stopped to take five and I took the time to sit back and look into the unknown........

wondering whats out there?!

We walked for about 2hrs! With the signs of spring all around it was a beautiful refreshing walk just what I needed after an indulging day!

I was starvalicious when I got back so fixed a quick dinner, boiled broccoli, a teeny sweet pot, mushrooms, onion, garlic and egg scramble

an easy meal that hit the spot well nearly!

I finished my indulging day with some ground rice carob pudding topped with mini m&m's which were an extra treat in my package from Deb's thanks lady!

What a fabulous day I'm stuffed though! After my eat whatever I like day I shall be getting back to my holford eating plan tomorrow indeed I will!

Did you have a fun day?

Mine has been glorious!

Do you live near the sea?

I do and I love it! Even when I moved to Barcelona it was on the sea which I loved. One of my favorite things to do is get up really early and go running down to the seafront and run along with the sea breeze rushing across my skin........bliss
I look forward to being able to do that a again hopefully that will be sooner rather than later!

  1. I am so jealous of your beach walk! It looks gorgeous! Looks like you had a great day, Happy Easter!

  2. I lived on the ocean for 3 years, but I didn't really enjoy it. I'm not much of a beach person. Plus, we didn't have cool places to walk to, like you do, in Charleston!

  3. thats so sad. My dad was a sea man and when he used to go out in stormy weather my mum and I used to go quiet and casually look out the window as if not bothered but we both totally were. x

  4. wow. i LOVE all the outdoor photography. some of those photos are totally print and frame-worthy!! glad you are able to bask in the sun and take runs outside.. till a tad cold here! xoxox

  5. That Rocket & Cucumber salad though simple looks so unbelievably tasty! I think I need to include more rocket in my diet...
