Blah Blah BLah

Today has been one of those blah days, as I'm in a pretty blah mood I'm just gonna get to the food then I'm off to get ready for bed. I'm tired of being me today and am ready to have some fun in dream world. Do you ever get those days?

I started my day with a big bowl of carob protein porridge topped with tahini. I love how a tsp is so runny it covers the whole bowl! This bowl included 1/3 cup buckwheat flakes, 1/3 cup low lacto milk, 3/3 cup water, 3 dates chopped, small banana, maca, carob powder, almond essence and of course tahini! Twas lovely

Mid morning a protein bar was scoffed!

Lunch was a salad bowl of quinoa, raw carrot + mangetout, fresh coriander and 6 olives
I also had a n apple and yogurt not pictured! Oops!

Dinner tasted soooooooo good I had beef mince in a tomato and garlic sauce with fresh spinach
thrown in. On the side I had steamed broccoli and parsnip as well as a dollop of hummus, yum

I made some more protein bars tonight and again they just weren't right they definitely need work so I wont share the recipe until I get them just right. I had to try them of course and with a spoonful of soya yogurt they tasted just fine.

My blah day is moving up stairs to my bed where only dreams can come true............

Whats your favorite protein bar mix?

I need some inspiration! Mine just aren't turning out that good. I think its cause of the low sugar
but I'm gonna keep trying till I get it right!

  3. Hey girly! How are ya? I totally have blah days every once in while too! Sometimes its best just to sleep it off ;) The bars look yummy to me! I'm going to try Averie's raw bars from love of veggies and yoga today- can't wait. When I make my baked protein bars, I add in sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, protein powder, oats, honey, flax, and a few other ingredients
