Last night in Barcelona : (

So I actually did some exercise today, proper exercise!!!!! Yep after reporting my missing passport to the police we came back to the flat, Jonathan went for an afternoon nap and
I took the opportunity to get some exercise in. Don't get me wrong I was pretty tired but
exercise was desperately needed! I did 30 minutes of toning and 38 minutes of pilates it felt good. I have loved this holiday but am looking forward to getting home and getting back into my exercise routine.

After my workout I was ready for some lunch. I went for sardines in tom sauce mixed with green beans carrots and olives with a side of beets and broccoli.

To feed my sweet tooth I had the end of a pot of soya yogurt with some mango and sprinkle
of cinnamon, I love cinnamon sprinkled on anything.

After lunch we headed out to the cinema, the walk to the cinema was about 45mins, and we went to see Paranormal Activity. It was pretty
creepy I must say, glad I didn't go alone! Before the film we got a coffee with soya milk.

Jonathan is a popcorn monster!

Align Centre
The box of popcorn was insanely big and yes he ate the whole box himself! I didn't have one
piece I don't really get a long with corn.

I had a water and an apple, no picture of the apple as I ate it while the film was on!

Before the fear got us!

After the film it was dinner time we went to a lovely organic restaurant called Organic Orgasmic I had the most delicious salad it included

watercress, salad leaves, grated carrot, black/green olives, alfalfa sprouts, rice with red cabbage,
a small baked new potato, a boiled egg, sunflower/pumpkin and sesame seeds topped with a little olive oil

Oh my gosh this was a great great meal and so cheap well worth the visit.

Home. Pyjamas. Laptop

I needed something sweet so had the last of my fig cake which was perfect. So I think I've started my resolutions pretty well don't ya think?!!!

So back home tomorrow, kinda sad but looking forward to getting in my own bed and getting back to a normal routine my tummy is playing up at the mo : (

Right time to chat before sleep, night peeps x x

More sleep please!

It was an early start, which was not a good thing today, I am usually a morning person but today
I could have slept forever. I was in need of lots of sleep as Saturday I barely got any!
But today was not that day, I had to go and report my missing passport at the police station : (
Breakfast was the same as Saturdays but a smaller portion, we had to get up at 6.30am and get moving by 8 so forgot to photo it, sorry!

Once we had made the report coffee was next o the agenda so we popped into star bucks. I had a soya latte, it was goooooooooood!

By the time we got back to the flat a snack was in order so I had rice cakes with tahini and
a nice juicy apple. My tummy really plays up when I go to another place that is unfamiliar so I'm not feeling to good at the mo : (

A little recap of last night Jonathans cousin Matt came over and brought Coraline for my
birthday. To eat we had roasted sweet potato, butternut squash, onion and garlic with some grated carrot and broccoli stalk as a raw side. Yep I did say broccoli stalk. I like to cut the edge off the broccoli stalk and eat the inside it is delicious especially sprinkled with a little salt you really should give it go!

The movie was ace! But its definitely an adults cartoon. It was actually quite creepy, I loved it
the animation is superb, it is a must see!

Right after some afternoon exercise me and Jonathan are off to the cinema, its his birthday today so we think the cinema than dinner somewhere can't wait! Then sleep! I am in need of some sleep before i head back home tomorrow so hopefully it wont be to late a night........

Hope your week is off to a good start x x

28 Today!

Hello bloggers, so today is my birthday I am officially 28!

Jonathan made me fried (in a little oil!) quail eggs on toast for my birthday breakfast.
Which was just what I needed after a very late night on the town!

The quail eggs were so tiny and cute! I have had them before but they were boiled.

So we had tiny eggs on tiny toast the cutest breakfast I've ever had!

So yes we had a very VERY late night. The celebrations started with dare I say it, a drinking game at the flat before going out, a few of Jonathan's friends came over as well as his cousin and we played a mexican drinking game! Yep it was the beginning of a boozy night. For someone that barely ever touches alcohol it was tuff! After at around 1.30am we headed out to a bat then to my favorite club in the city Razzmatazz. Even though I used to live here I can't imagine living somewhere now that you don't go out till 1.30 am to start the night!
The night didn't end till 6am where I could be found sitting in a cafe chopping on
patatas bravas. No picture was taken which was probably a good thing!

So I must be honest over the past couple of days the food that has passed my lips has not been entirely healthy shall we say. There has been healthy foods eaten don't get me wrong but there has also been way to many treats and no way near enough exercise! So for my birthday resolution I have decided:

I am not going to eat ANY processed foods.

I am not going to eat ANY un-natural sugars.

I am going to exercise at least 5 times a week.

So those are my resolutions wish me luck, I shall obviously be taking you long with me on this little journey. I needed to loose some of the padding that has appeared on me in a healthy sensible way.

Time to relax for the rest of my birthday.
I hope you all had a fun weekend like me x x

My first Persimmon!

After breakfast I had a another wonder juice! Pomegranate, ooooooooo it was really refreshing
I hardly ever drink juice but after finding this and the lychee one I'm thinking I should make it
a bit more often!

I have just been chilling with Jonathan today at his cute little flat in Barcelona. I decided I
needed an uber healthy lunch so I steamed some butternut squash and mashed it with a
can of sardines in tomato sauce bones n all! (I need the calcium!) I through some olives
stuffed with anchovies in and had a side of beets. It really was good.

For some flavor I decided to add a sprinkle of Herbamare it has lots of ingredients as well
as salt and tastes great.

My first persimmon!
So many of the blogs I follow have been featuring this tasty fruit, but I could never find any in the shops where I live. While strolling around Barcelona I came across some and new I had to
try one. I have not been disappointed, sweet soft and fresh. I teamed it with some soya yogurt and cinnamon a perfect pud! I look forward to trying one again.

Its 3.50pm now and we're about to hit the shops (they stay open till 9pm yay!) so I need to get sorted and ready for some retail therapy! Oh yeah I also had a dark chocolate rice cake oops! hehehe!

So tonight we're hitting the city for a double birthday celebration, mine tomorrow and
Jonathans on Monday. I see some cocktails in my future!

Have a fun Saturday night, I know I will x x

Coconut Coma and a Chloe Obsession

Last night I turned the computer off and enjoyed some movie time with my friends here in Barcelona, so breakfast and dinner is all rolled into one. Which will probably be the same for the next couple of days, but hey I'm still keeping you up date! So breakfast was goooooooood.

In the mix:
Quinoa flakes + Soya milk + Water
Fig + Almond bar
Soya yogurt
1/2 Banana
Seeds + Cinnamon

I found one of my favorite dried fruit cakes whilst out yesterday, its literally figs dried with almonds in it, and thats it. I cut a piece off, diced it and added to my porridge. This was
so filling but just what I needed.

I'm going to let you into a little secret:
I'm a little OBSESSED with Chloe Sevigny!
I think if I could have a celebrity body it would be hers.

Sevigny is oozes cool, I love the way she dresses, plus it helps that anything looks good on her
so my celebrity of choice is Chloe (Sarah Jessica Parker comes a close second!) I love love love her and her abs!

Whose your celebrity body of choice, come on you gotta have one?!

So onto last nights dinner it was a taste sensation!!!!! We had a spinach tortilla with steamed
leaks and broccoli.

I also had a lychee juice, not only did it taste good but lychee's are so good for you!

Lychee facts:
Rich in vitamin C
High levels of beta carotene
Help to prevent blood clots, cell damage and reduce strokes
Increases energy and improves well being
To mention a few, so eat your lyhees!

Later while we watched movies pudding was started and snacks were on the go.
Jonathan had a bag of yucca chips, I've never tasted yams but these were so good. I'll
definitely be trying them in another way, any suggestions?

Pudding was good we had a selection of treats, pineapple ring in dark chocolate which was ok but 1 was enough didn't really rate it that much. Coconut bar which is self explanatory and Yemo tostado which is almonds egg yolk and sugar toasted! My god we ate way to much and I fell into a coconut coma, so calorific too! But hey I'm on holiday!

I haven't really done any exercise either well we walked for about 8hrs yesterday but that just doesn't feel like exercise, today will be more walking, but again I'm on holiday is it ok to relax?

Enjoy your Saturday x x

Passport sorted and a fabulous lunch

Even though I had a really late night I woke up early, stupid body clock!
I had to be up early anyway because I had to get a temporary passport, the nightmare continues
but at least I made it!
So for breccy I had 1/2 an apple, 1/2 a pear, a banana, soya yogurt and sunflower seeds.
Then we were off on the passport quest.

So I threw on some sparkles and we headed off.......

Another 4hrs wait and we got my passport, but I have to go back Monday with a police report
(I have to report the lost passport and provide proof!) But the nightmare is kinda over! We
went to a cafe while having to wait around for my passport and got a soya latte each.

By 3pm we were starving and all I wanted was a giant salad and i knew the perfect place. My
favorite restaurant in Barcelona Juicy Jones. A vegan restaurant that serves the best salads
and very good prices.

The decor is kinda crazy but its laid back and friendly. A little to laid back sometimes the food takes a while to get to you, especially when your starving!

I had a giant salad with roasted vegetables, giant capers and pesto. I also had a side of avocado
it was just what I needed. A taste sensation, they never disappoint.

After lunch we went to get some food shopping then returned home for a well earned rest. I had
some chocolate rice cakes for pudding.

Once rested we went back out to meet Jonathan's cousin again for coffee.

Back home again and its time for dinner. I can't wait til tomorrow, we're hitting the shops then a
big birthday night out. Its mine and Jonathan's birthday this weekend so double celebration
whoop whoop!

See ya tomorrow x x

Barcelona NGHTMARE!

As I snacked on my tasty cereal bar I would never have guessed the nightmare that was about to happen, before I get to that I'll just let you know this is my favorite flavor of the
Eat Natural barsthe cranberries mixed with macadamias and dark chocolate so good!

Anyway on to the NIGHTMARE!!!!!!
I'll keep it short, I dropped my passport on the plane and when I realized I went to go back
but the Spanish guards wouldn't let me return to the plane to look for it, instead one of them went but didn't actually ask where I had been sitting. They said it wasn't there strange because I
needed it TO GET ON THE PLANE! Anyway after searching my bag 1000 times no joy the tears
came and I didn't know what to do...............
Eventually they let my friend Jonathan and come sit with me while they try to get through to
the british embassy no joy.........

Amazingly after 4 hrs of no water and to many tears, my work colleague back in england managed to send through a copy of my passport by fax and another 1 hr and a half later we were released! So lucky it was late night shopping back home I really do owe my colleague one!

Align Centre
When we finally arrived home we grabbed a quick snack, I was starving but was in need of a cocktail! I had 1/2 an apple, 1/2 a pear, a soya yogurt and some sunflower seeds. After a quick freshen up we went out to meet Jonathan's cousin and a cocktail with my name on it!

My cocktail of choice was called a Sloppy Joe. White rum, lime and cranberry juice. It hit the spot. I also had a mojito my favorite flavor cocktail.
Two cocktails down feeling slightly tipsy but very tired it was time to go and collapse.
I grab a small portion of chips on the way home I was starve a'lishous!

Sleep!

Barcelona here I come!!!!!!!

This is a quick post before I'm off to my favorite city and my favorite boy. I needed a good filling breakfast before my travels so had 1/2 cup of GF porridge, raisins, tbsp ground linseeds, almond butter and soya milk. I definitely didn't churn my almond butter long enough but it tastes good so that's all that counts, right?!

I made a healthy lunch for the flight, plane food is definitely not my friend. I throw together a
quick salad of mixed leaves, avocado and carrot drizzled with sesame oil for flavor. An apple
and my flight must a small bar of dark chocolate. The winds are up and if I'm honest I really
don't like flying so when the rockiness comes the chocolate gets eaten!

I've just discovered this new chocolate ador is dairy free yay! Plus its mint my favorite can't wait to try. Well I need to pack my baby up (my ibook!) and get ready to go.
Have a nice Thursday peeps see ya in Barcelona!!!!!!!
